We got to Sedona around 11:00 am on a gorgeous fall morning. The goal was to hike the half mile or so to a spot called Red Rock Crossing. It’s a favorite for photographers to capture the classic Cathedral Rock.
I had forgotten that the last time I visited this area, I wasn’t on the Baldwin Trail... details! No problem after realizing our error, we backtracked to a known spot, checked the map, and said let’s go that way. Perfect!
After a bit of bushwhacking, we found the correct trail and were met with this beautiful view. Mission accomplished!

Summary from AllTrails (link):
The trail is short but delightful, concluding at Red Rock Crossing. You can enjoy lovely views of the creek against the backdrop of Cathedral Rock. The end of the trail might be a bit tricky to locate, but it provides shaded areas and a flat beachy area suitable for kids. There is no shade during the first half of the hike, but plenty of shade awaits after you descend the climbing steps.
