Per a recent article on YourValley.net, the planned renovations for North Mountain Park are back on track and plans call for construction to begin in fall 2026.

The project will include habitat restoration, a new playground, refurbishing the existing large ramada at the park, new ramadas and shade structure, three new restroom buildings, a new right-hand turn lane into the park from Seventh Street and improvements to a loop trail, Trail 44 and to the Penny Howe Trail.
